Up to 8 different devices can be paired to the Phonak Naída Paradise with the ability to seamlessly switch between 2 connected devices at a given time. This includes smartphones, televisions, and tablets. The myPhonak app also connects directly to the hearing aids so users can customize their sound settings and schedule virtual appointments with hearing professionals. That said, the app has received a low 2.5 star rating from Android users in Google Play, with most reviews calling out connection issues. As far as iOS goes, the app has a 4.3 star rating in the App Store.
The Dynamic Noise Cancellation and Speech Enhancer systems built into the Phonak Naída Paradise is geared towards reducing background noise in loud settings and amplifying quieter sounds that are difficult to hear, like a soft speaker or something that is further away. The device uses a beamformer to zero in on the sounds you are trying to hear while filtering out the undesirable ones. The hearing aids also have AutoSense software that can scan an environment and adjust sound levels accordingly.
One of the more innovative features of the Phonak Naída Paradise is the built-in motion sensor hearing. Only available in the P70 and P90 levels of the P-PR model, this technology uses an accelerometer to detect if you are stationary or on the move, and works in conjunction with the Dynamic Noise Cancellation to automatically adjust the microphones and enhance the listening experience on-the-go. The hearing aids also use environmental balancing to differentiate between streamed media and your surroundings.
You can order clunky hearing aids online for less, but they may or may not fit your needs. You can be more confident that the Phonak Naída Paradise will work for you because your audiologist must determine what you need and order them for you. This ensures a custom pair of hearing aids that’s tailored to you, from your level of hearing loss right down to your favorite color if you desire. But it also means you would need to find a local audiologist and request an appointment, which can be very time consuming.
We recommend booking a consultation with YesHearing. It’s completely free, and a team of specialists will help you find the right product. Then, when you make a purchase, YesHearing sends the audiologist to your home for training, testing, and the proper fit.
The two Phonak Naída Paradise models are available in 4 different technology levels, the P30, P50, P70, and P90, with more premium features the higher you go up. Of course, you’re also going higher up in price with each level.
Phonak’s newest motion sensors are only available in P-PR models with P50+ technology. Unlike the P-PR, the P-UP model uses a telecoil to connect hearing aids to landline phones and assisted listening devices. Users looking to take advantage of the tap control function will need to get the P-PR model, as the P-UP doesn’t come with it.
Another notable difference between the two models is the battery, with the P-PR offering a built-in rechargeable option as opposed to the P-UP which requires disposable ones.
YesHearing's team of audiologists and hearing specialists are ready to help you find the perfect product. Then, your new hearing aids will be hand-delivered, tested, and fitted in the comfort of your home. Book a free consultation to get started.
