Carly Sygrove is a hearing loss coach, advocate, writer, and former educator. After experiencing profound sudden hearing loss in her left ear in 2016, she received a cochlear implant in 2024 and has dedicated her career to supporting others navigating life with hearing loss. As a hearing loss coach, Carly helps people adjust emotionally, communicate with confidence, and thrive after hearing loss. She shares her personal journey on her blog, My Hearing Loss Story, founded the Sudden Hearing Loss Support website to provide resources for those affected, and also manages a Facebook hearing loss support group. Carly co-hosts the Happy Hearing podcast and co-authored the 2025 book Sudden Hearing Loss: Stories of Hope, Guidance and Support, which combines personal stories with practical advice for people experiencing sudden hearing loss.
